DJ LOCAL HERO
Local hero is a young dj, designer and organizer of club, art and cultural events. He started as a newsreader in TV programme: “Kwadrans akademicki”. He is a member of DJ’s group Urban Impulz Rec.,that gathers artists such as: Martino B., Cj Reign, Sebastian W., and Pr0t0n. He is experienced by wide range of music genres, starting from electronic and synthetic stuff, to dirty and overdriven guitar riffs. As a DJ he is focused mostly on bassline, speed garage and vocal house.
His adventure with turntables has started in 2007, but he had been fascinated with club music many years before. One of the members of Urban Impulz, Martino.B had a very strong influence on his music interests. They met each other at the designers website: Digitalica in 2002. In 2003 they set up an internet radio “Scratch.fm”, made mainly for promoting 2 step and UK Garage sounds. Currently they’re organizing and playing together at many parties in ?ód?. You may also listen to dj Local Hero each and every Tuesday on the Urban Impulz Radio from 8.00 to 9.00 pm.
In addition, Local Hero he has started a new project Psycho Drunk Androids on Steroids with Cj Reign and Roodolph, where he is mainly responsible for samples and guitar parts. This music experiment is a steppingstone from classic approach to electronic music. You can find here strong influences of psychedelic sounds like: Aphex Twin, Amon Tobin and noise/ breakcore genres.
Local Hero is also a graphic designer. He is a former art director of many events like: “Po??czeni Pasj?”, “Meeting of Styles” and its continuation "Outline Colour Festival”. Local Hero runs his own design studio for a living called “Work Temple”, so he often prepares a visual identities for events, exhibitions and parties. He also designs a series of clothes under the same pseudonym “Local Hero”. Mission of this company is “Creating clothes for people, who trough their passions became a Local Heroes” (skaters, music bands, graffiti guys etc.)
